Practise this week's times table.
On BBC Bitesize there are lots of Maths Activities. I've picked out some that will be useful to practise but you can look at any others as well. If you're not so confident with Maths, have a look at the Year 4 activities to help you secure skills.

Select from these sections (or do all of them) to revisit factors, prime numbers, squared and cubed numbers. It's in the Year 5 section but this is for Year 6 too.

READING
Read for at least ten minutes. (You can read for longer, of course).
Read part of the text 3 times to make sure you have good fluency.
Write down and investigate the meanings of any words that are new or you're not sure of.
Write a short summary of what you have read- find the main points of the text.
Add your opinion about this text. Did you like it? Why or why not?
SPELLING
Here is a link to our Y5/6 spellings. Choose 10 to practise. Try to pick words that you think could be useful to you in your own writing.
WRITING
Write a short story about something that happens on a snowy day. You could hand write it or type it.
Make sure you describe the setting and introduce your character.
A story often has a problem to make it interesting. What is the problem in your story and how will it be solved.
Try to remember some of the good writing skills that you have learned in school and use them in your story: capital letters and sentence enders powerful adjectives expanded noun phrases
adverbs ( slowly icily etc) fronted adverbials different types of sentence conjunctions
relative clause simile/personification
Don't forget to put in some accurate punctuation.

or SNOW!
Use whatever you have available and do the best quality work that you can.
