On Monday we had a visitor in school teaching the children to Line Dance. The children all gave it a go and really enjoyed it!
This week is Multicultural week, we have been looking at Africa. Children have had a go at African drumming and we have had a guest speaker talking about their visit to different countries in Africa.

In R.E. we have been learning about different festivals and how they are celebrated. We made some colourful pictures when we learned about Holi.
The Vikings invaded Derwent Class on Friday 26th January. We had a great time and learned a lot about life in Viking Britain. Here are a selection of photographs from the day. If your child is not featured here, don't worry: every child will have their own set of photos printed out and stuck in Topic Books which will come home later in the year.
